As you peruse my 2024 Atlanta I: Top Finish Rates by Driver chart, remember that this track’s conversion to more of a superspeedway means that only data from 2022 through 2024 is relevant to this weekend’s race. Fortunately, we have six races of Gen-7 data now, which allows us to make at least a few conclusions.
The chart below shows top-n finishes for the drivers who have raced Atlanta over the last three years. To be included in the chart, a driver must have run at least three Atlanta races during that period.

2025 Atlanta I: The Good
Only four drivers have won the six races. William Byron and Joey Logano have each won twice, while Chase Elliott and Daniel Suรกrez have on win each.
Suรกrez has three second-place finishes and Ross Chastain two second-place finishes.
If you’re looking at parlays, note that Suรกrez and Ryan Blaney have finishes in the top 10 in five out of the six races. Elliott has never finishes out of the top 20.
The Bad
Chris Buescher has finished out of the top 20 in half the races he’s run, which is three out of six. Similarly, Denny Hamlin’s only finished in the top 10 once โ and out of the top 20 four times.
As you’re perusing the names at the bottom of the list, remember that a number of those drivers are with different teams and often different crew chiefs this year.
Also, the No. 19 of Chase Briscoe has something to prove after being slammed with a 100 point/10 bonus point penalty following the Daytona 500. They’ve appealed that penalty, but regardless of the appeal outcome, they would like nothing better than to make a statement this weekend.
The Ugly
Kyle Larson has only finished in the top 20 once in the six races he’s won. That’s a major benefit of the current playoff system to drivers who don’t find much success at pack-racing tracks. A driver like Larson can win at enough other tracks that his total point score isn’t so important.
That’s the 2025 Atlanta I Driver Finish Summary.
