Your 2025 Richmond Race Report features a redeeming win, heartbreak for 23XI, and a lot of Toyota pit road troubles. Plus Chase Elliott breaks his top-20 streak and his no-DNF streak, which leaves the series with no driver having successfully finished all races running.
Caution/Lead-O-Gram

Cautions
The table below summarizes the cautions from the above graph.

There were five cautions, with three unplanned. That made for a total of 44 caution laps, which is 11.0% of the total race.
- Unplanned cautions were 6.75% of the race.
- Planned Cautions were 5.50% of the race.
Lead Changes
Eleven different drivers led laps at the 2025 Richmond race. Many of the contenders, however, faced problems.
- Pole sitter Ryan Preece lost his brakes after leading the majority of stage 1.
- a dust-up with the No. 99 and No. 54 cars ruined Tyler Reddick’s chances.
- Bubba Wallace’s pit crew failed to secure a tire and the resulting time lost/penalty put him out of contention.
The table below shows the numbers of different types of lead changes.

There were nine green-flag changes for the lead, as measured at the start/finish line. NASCAR reports 38 green-flag changes for the lead if the loop data is included.
And that’s the 2025 Richmond Race Report
