I go through each lead change after a race and classify it into one of the following types, which leads that a lead-change type

| GF-R | Driver took lead on the restart/race start |
| GF | Green-Flag Pass |
| INHERITED-YFPS | Leader stayed out and driver inherited the lead when other cars pitted |
| INHERITED-GFPS | As above, but under green |
| ONPR-YF | Took lead during yellow-flag pit stops by beating everyone else off pit road |
| ONPR-GF | Took lead during green-flag pit stops by beating everyone else off pit road |
| INHERITED-ACC | Inherited the lead due to an accident |
| BTL | Driver beat leader to the line on a restart. |
